GRADUATE RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP
AT THE ENERGY STUDIES IN BUILDINGS LABORATORY

As a Master of Architecture student at UO’s Eugene campus, I've worked with the Energy Studies in Buildings Laboratory since December 2015. My research has focused on heavy/engineered timber construction, and monitoring the health and performance of heavy timber products and assemblies during post-occupancy conditions as part of a collaborative research project between the University of Oregon and Oregon State University. I've also worked with local architecture firms to research and generate design improvement recommendations for proposed building projects during their design development stages, including the proposed Eugene City Hall and Springfield’s proposed CLT parking garage. Research areas of interest include natural daylighting, natural ventilation, monitoring building thermal and energy performance (physically and through computer simulation), and stormwater management.
